Description

Produced from highly polished rice, this refined sake exhibits a rich, fruity Aroma. It is round and full on the palate, with an abundance of ripe fruit flavours.

An elegant bottle of the imperial brewery’s classically smooth daiginjo, this sake proves to be exquisitely refreshing with its surprising sweetness and gently swelling mouthfeel. Blast chilled moments after heating, so it can preserve the fruity, umami flavour activated from its rice koji, this 50% finely milled sake invites you to an opening sip with the crisp apple and western pear notes hidden inside. Quick to reveal itself and ravish the tongue with subtle yet expanding fruity essence, this sake soothes the senses and finishes with an uplifting feeling that helps cleanse and open the airwaves.

Sake is Japan’s most well-known alcohol. It is brewed using special sake rice, koji (an edible rice mould that serves as the fermenting agent), and sometimes a little brewer's alcohol. A sake's characteristics, including how sweet or dry it is, how light or full bodied it is, and what flavours it evokes, depend on the type of rice and other ingredients used, how much the rice is polished/milled, and what brewing methods have been employed.

Perfect to pair chilled with pungent and creamy foods for sensational contrast.
