Feudi di San Gregorio is the finest and most awarded winery in Campania, Italy. Situated in the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania’s Irpinia region, this highly acclaimed estate was established in 1986. Over the past 20 years, Feudi di San Gregorio has emerged into the international limelight as a great success story. At Taurasi, Aglianico finds its ideal territory – uncontaminated, volcanic and impenetrable – giving life to full and balanced wine.
The grapes underwent alcoholic fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for about 3 weeks followed by maturation for about 18 months in medium-toasted French barriques. The wine aged for a minimum of 9 months in the bottle.
Food Pairing: An excellent wine for drinking with the finest roasted red meats and poultry, braised in Aglianico.
