Description
Bouquet on this wine is lifted with bright cherry fruit characters, a hint of chocolate with enticing spice notes. Palate is full of dark berry fruits entwined with pepper spices and chocolate tones. Overall lively, finishing long and savoury. Finish is coated in soft tannins to complete this rich and generous palate.
Soils in the South and Central Barossa Valley, where these vines grow is red-brown loam over shale and red clay. After harvest all parcels from the different vineyards are crushed and fermented separately. The Shiraz vineyards destined for this wine were fermented between 6 and 8 days at 22 to 24 degrees. Post fermentation the wine was matured in American and French Oak for 10 months before being blended and bottled.
