Description

  • French oak
  • White peach
  • Vanilla
  • Creamy

"Fragrant, ripe and complex bouquet with scents of peaches and fine French oak, red apple and citrus, baked lemon and a whisper of quince. Equally complex on the palate with texture and flavours of baked yellow stone fruits and apple, lemon and wood spice, vanilla and a touch of wood smoke. Weight with a satin texture, creamy mouthfeel and lengthy youthful finish. Well made with complexity and power, medium+ acid line and developing complexity. Best drinking from 2024 through 2028+" Cameron Douhlas, Master Sommelier

"Rich, creamy Chardonnay with citrus, lime, green apple, nutty yeast lees, and sizzled butter flavours. Bone dry with tangy acidity. Good food wine with plenty of weight and flavour. Should develop well with bottle age" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review

A complex array of toasted nuts, lees and smokey tones overlay a pure stone fruit white peach with a citrus backbone. Crisp and pure. The vibrant acidity offers lively structure to the wine’s weight and texture. Citrus pith, stone fruit, and spice leave a long delicate finish.

The grapes are 100% hand-picked and gently whole bunch pressed. After settling in tank, the juice is racked and inoculated with yeasts from ‘The Wrekin’ vineyard and transferred to French barriques- no new oak. In spring, malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. The wine ages for 18 months on lees. There is no pre-bottling or filtration.
