Description

  • Velvety tannins

"This is instantly appealing on the nose with black/blueberry, rich floral, almond and warm spice aromas, followed by a generously expressed palate delivering fleshy texture and finely pitched tannins. Upfront and expressive, making it highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2023

This is an intense red wine jam-packed with dark and red berry flavours. Big fruit character from tiny berries of older vines deliver blackberry, plum flavours with vanilla, milk chocolate and fresh leather on the palate. The mouth-feel is soft and cuddly with velvety tannins and a long finish.

Crimson Monster creates monstrously rich and full bodied wines sourced from lowyielding, established vineyards located in some of South Australia’s finest regions such as McLaren Vale and Coonawarra.

A La Nina season brought much welcomed rain over the winter months and continued in providing a mild spring and summer. The cooler than average weather during harvest resulted in a longer ripening period and facilitated an outstanding flavour and tannin balance and wines with balanced natural acidity.

Sourced from a highly valued vineyard on the Willunga foothills of McLaren Vale, facing north westerly. The vineyard grows tiny, intense and high quality berries that delivered the richer flavours expected for a Crimson Monster Shiraz. Matured in a combination of stainless steel and large French oak 500 litre barrels. The wine was then blended and bottled

Food Pairing: Pair with steak.
