  • Refreshing acidity

"It's delightfully fruited and inviting on the nose with ripe pear, nectarine, rockmelon and floral aromas, leading to a beautifully rounded palate offering bright fruit flavours with supple texture and refreshing acidity, offering lovely drinking. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2023

"Slightly green, tangy Pinot Gris with vanilla, pear, nectarine and green apple flavours. Fresh, simple, crow-pleasing wine in a dry(ish) style with vibrant acidity. Good food wine" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2023

"Enjoyable in its youth, the 2023 vintage is a bright, light yellow/green, freshly scented, medium to full-bodied wine. It has good depth of lively, peachy, gently spicy flavours, with hints of pears and lychees, and an off-dry finish. Priced right" Michael Cooper, Oct 2023

Pale golden yellow with bright green hues. A harmonious blend of quince, pear and ripe pineapple, with a delicate floral lift of orange blossom. A beautifully rounded palate offering bright fruit flavours with supple texture and refreshing acidity. Youthfully charming and elegant, our Pinot Gris continues to satisfy Gris lovers with its succulent quince, pear and nectarine flavours. With vibrant fruit flavours, exceptional aromatics and a rounded mouthfeel it is delightfully drinkable.

Despite the challenges of the 2023 growing season in Hawke’s Bay, the fruit we harvested was of great quality, through the hard work of our talented vineyard and winery teams.

The fruit for this wine was grown in the alluvial plains of the Hawke’s Bay region, in the Ohiti and Maraekakaho sub regions. The juice underwent a long, cool fermentation with a variety of yeasts to build and enhance the aromatic complexity. Following fermentation, the wine was blended, stabilised and filtered prior to early bottling to capture the freshness and fruit purity.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with Asian cuisine, chicken and light pasta dishes.
