Fruity, floral & fresh

Fruity, floral & fresh
Description
Apple, Off-dry, Pastry
"Aromas of apple and baked goods, pear and a light minerality. Off-dry with some sweetness to contrast acidity then flavours of lemon and white tree fruits. A plush soft mousse spreads flavour through the palate. Balanced and well-made and ready to drink from 2021 through 2023" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, The Shout, Nov 2021
"Easy and fruity, this refreshing sparkling wine shows peach, tropical fruit, fresh apple and floral notes on the nose, followed by a juicy palate that is light on its feet with subtle sweetness. Vibrant and friendly, this is a fabulous bubbles to enjoy at lunch or anytime of the day" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2015
Veuve du Vernay ICE offers a new way to enjoy this classic spoarkling wine, as this blend is specially designed to be served and enjoyed on ice, in a large wine glass. Pale yellow with green tints in the glass with a generous foam, fine and numerous bubbles. The bouquet is fruity, floral and fresh, whilst the fine effervescence is without excess. Young, mellow and fine on the palate.
Veuve du Vernay claims an intimate link to the history of French sparkling wine, through the exploits of scientist Jean Eugène Charmat, who's son Robert created the brand in the 1960s. The excellent quality of the base wines and fruit used, in combination with careful monitoring of the secondary fermentations, result in a delightfully fresh and delicate sparkling wine with a charming touch of fruitiness.
The golden bubbles of Veuve du Vernay are made respecting the French tradition by the House of PATRIARCHE based in Beaune in Burgundy. The grapes come from vines which have been patiently cared for, with respect for the environment, by grape growers who are partners of PATRIARCHE. When the grapes arrive at maturity, the vines are carefully harvested and the grapes are chosen. The search for perfection at each step guaranties an irreproachable quality and gives the Veuve du Vernay sparkling wines their unique character and the well-known aromatic complexity.
To be enjoyed within 1 or 2 years from purchase.
Food Pairing Pairing: Best served in a large wine glass over ice. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif or with dessert.
