Description

Dry, Feijoa, Lime

"Intensely aromatic and enticing, the bouquet shows passionfruit, feijoa, kaffir lime, and white floral aromas, leading to a wonderfully flavoursome palate that's filled with juicy fruit flavours. Gorgeously expressed and deliciously drinkable. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2025

Vibrant and unmistakably Marlborough, this wine opens with green tropical fruit, citrus oil, and hints of fresh herbs, snow peas, and saline minerality. The palate is generous and concentrated, with citrus zest, tropical fruit, and subtle herbal layers. Crisp acidity brings focus to a long, elegant finish.

This stonier, drier, cooler & windier pocket of Marlborough, the Awatere Valley, conspires to produce distinctive, complex & intriguing wines. Marquee sites in the lower Awatere Valley, are noteworthy for their wide diurnal temperature swings, contributing to strong personality and incredible balance in the wines. Soils are low in fertility with stones and pebbles mixed with clay and loam. The rainfall ranges from 279-406 millimeters (11-16 inches) a year, very arid by any measure.

The 2025 vintage delivered vibrant, balanced wines thanks to a warm spring, excellent fruit set, and classic Marlborough ripening conditions. Cooler January weather extended hang time, while warm days and cool nights in February enhanced flavour and freshness. Selectively machine-harvested at peak ripeness, the juice was cool-fermented in stainless steel with aromatic yeast strains, then rested on light lees for added texture. The result is a pure, expressive Sauvignon Blanc with bright acidity and vivid aromatics.

Food Pairing: Seafood, soft cheeses, creamy pasta, garden salads, or spice-driven Asian dishes.
