Mark’s understated hand has crafted this wine from its beginnings in our 1847 Bethany vineyard, with select parcels from the Stonewell block to create a wine of presence, power and structure. Wood spice, fresh cassis & black pepper.

Composed & meticulously crafted, this wine shows the true worth of old-vine Barossa shiraz. An elegant yet powerful wine, it is approachable in youth, yet will cellar for many years. A dry winter and growing season led to the earliest vintage on record. Though quick the vintage yielded robust flavours and colours.

This Shiraz is a result of a very intricate blending process. After each parcel of fruit is individually vinified & aged in specially selected French oak barrels, the final blend is created with careful consideration to upholding its reputation for cellaring gracefully, retaining its freshness and balance for many years.

Food Pairing: You think ‘Shiraz’ you think ‘steak’ and rightly so! But don’t be afraid to challenge your palate & go for something new, like bitter, dark chocolate by itself, or added to a sauce for braised oxtail or venison.
