Red and purple in colour, this is a fragrant Pinot Noir wine with raspberry, mulberry, vanilla, clove and a mineral note. It is medium in weight and probably fuller for a Pinot Noir and is very flavourful and moreish. Red and dark fruited, soft and pleasurable as a wine on its own or with food.

This was a challenging year and so very much makes you think of Australia. It was a hot vintage with only sporadic rains in some parts causing the berries to ripen sooner than prior years. Through great management the resultant fruit is bright and flavourful with a soft acidity. Lucky for the winemakers this would be a drink up vintage rather than hold for cellaring. The wine looks great now so enjoy in its youth.

Healthy and problem free fruit is selected in the vineyard and then picked in the cool of the night and then rushed to the nearby winery for a fast and focused vinification. Fermentation is cool in a closed static fermenter before a short maturation on lees and bottling.
