Drawn from the Rocky Point Vineyard, an extremely steep site on schist rock soil. Pinot Noir from this site always shows a subtle mineral character underlying the plush aromatics & texture. Hand harvested, fermented with wild yeast and aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.

Rocky Point is produced exclusively from the winemakers own vineyards and the wines benefit from the classical approach that is the hallmark of Prophet’s Rock. In the winery the fruit is handled with the same care, respect and methods used for all Prophet’s Rock wines. The Rocky Point Pinot Noir is barrel-aged before bottling.

The Rocky Point Pinot Noir are typically expressive, perfumed and supple wines that drink very well in their youth. For those with patience, the wines will continue to improve, with peak drinking 5-7 years from vintage. The Rocky Point Pinot Noir has consistently won awards and great reviews since the first release in 2003.
