Description
Dry, Floral, Pear
"It's delightfully fruited and immediately appealing on the nose with Nashi pear, rockmelon, fig and white floral nuances. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity with silky texture and bright acidity, making it harmonious and balanced with a lengthy, refreshing finish. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2024

Delightfully fruited with nuances of Nashi pear, rockmelon, fig and white florals combining with a succulent palate balanced with bright acidity and a lengthy refreshing finish. A cool climate Pinot Gris, dry in style showing sweet fruit flavours balanced with fresh acidity.
The flowering period was stable, warm and dry so there was an excellent, uniform fruit set and yields slightly up on average. Summer and early autumn experienced average heat accumulation, with early autumn bringing cooler conditions, allowing for excellent acid retention.
Harvested from the Central Otago sub-regions of Peregrine Estate Bendigo 69%, Pisa 25% and Gibbston 6%. Fermented clean, long and slow to retain freshness and gain complexity. A combination of handpicked, machine harvest and whole bunch pressed. Long cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to obtain medium-dry yet balanced sweetness. Aged on yeast lees for 3 months prior to blending and bottling.
