Description
- Dry style
- Ripe red fruits

- Lively acid
Bright and bubbly, this wine is a lot of fun. Ripe red fruits mixed with candy floss and a hint of bubble gum. Intense and bright in the mouth with flavours of new season strawberries, and fresh raspberries. Lively acid and an off-dry finish. A taste of summer!
2022 was a tough vintage throughout NZ. A wet Spring, a hot dry Summer and a very wet Autumn made for tough conditions to grow grapes. A real testament to our growers was the quality of fruit we harvested in 2022. Our Pinot Noir is grown on the Mangatahi Terraces, 15km further inland from the Gimblett Gravels. The Managatahi Terraces are ancient river terraces formed over thousands of years by the Ngaruroro River, which now flows more than 30m below the vineyard. These terraces are made up of greywacke and gravel under volcanic, stony, silt based, topsoil
100% carbonic maceration for 5 days, before being whole bunch pressed to a stainless steel tanks. Fermented cold until being bottled straight from tank, before the ferment is finished. Fermentation was then completed in bottle, providing the bubble for our Pet Nat. Disgorged at 3g/l residual sugar. Pét–nat is an abbreviation for “pétillant naturel”—a French term that roughly translates to “naturally sparkling”.
