Harmonious & lingering with tasty flavours

Description
Dry, Floral, Peach
"Elegant and finely lifted, the bouquet presents notes of apricot, lemon zest, green pear, and floral aromas, followed by a palate that is both juicy and lively. Splendidly structured by fleshy texture and bright acidity, making it harmonious and lingering with tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2025

"Rich nose of sliced peaches, tangerine peel and hints of dried herbs and beeswax. Medium-bodied, juicy and focused, with clean acidity and a polished finish. Very attractive and sharp. Sustainable. Drink now" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com
Lush and aromatic, our Landmark Albariño opens with vibrant notes of white peach, nectarine, and citrus blossom, enticing the senses with its expressive bouquet. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious blend of creamy texture and lively acidity, showcasing layers of juicy mandarin, ripe apricot, and a hint of salinity, leading to a refreshing finish that is both crisp and elegantly mineral-driven—a true reflection of Gisborne’s coastal terroir.
Our Landmark Series is a nod to classic winemaking traditions -sprinkled with Misty’s distinctive edge. Sourced from Doug Bell’s vineyard, home to New Zealand’s oldest Albariño vines, this single- vineyard wine captures the very essence of the land it hails from.
Fermentation occurred in 60% stainless steel, 20% new, and 20% older acacia puncheons. Special yeast enhanced the wine’s texture and highlighted its floral and varietal character. It aged on lees for four months to add depth and complexity—a touch of residual sugar balances the naturally high acidity, resulting in a beautifully harmonious wine.
Food Pairing: A classic ceviche or grilled octopus highlights the wine’s vibrant citrus
notes, while a vegetable paella brings out its subtle floral undertones. For a more robust pairing, a rosemary and garlic-marinated lamb chop complements the wine’s nuanced minerality. Even a simple plate of burrata with heirloom tomatoes and basil will find a perfect partner in this expressive Albariño.
