Description
Dry, Floral, Pear
"Pristine and elegantly aromatic, showing Asian pear, rockmelon, Gala apple and white floral aromas on the nose. The palate delivers fine focus and fleshy texture, wonderfully framed by juicy acidity, finishing long and tasty. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2024

"A bouquet of fragrant, ripe, plenty of fruit purity and freshness leads to a palate of pears and apples, spices and white pepper. A lush and fuller-bodied expression with core fruit flavours of brown pear and red apple, a hint of quince and white peach. Balanced, well made and plush with a saline acid line and fruity varietal finish. Best from day of purchase through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
"Sliced apples, pears and crushed stones on the nose, with a touch of almonds. It’s medium-bodied, clean and focused, with a crisp finish. Drink now" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com
Bursting with charm and character, it opens with enticing aromas of ripe peach and baked pears, accented by hints of ginger. The palate is textural and juicy, with nashi pear, grapefruit, and a hint of honeysuckle, leading to a refreshing, lingering finish.
Misty Cove’s Estate Pinot Gris is a playful creation from our vineyards nestled in our upper Wairau Valley. The stony, ancient riverbed soils work their magic, giving birth to a wine that’s as floral as it is fleshy, perfectly capturing Marlborough’s unique enviroment.
The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning. We then pressed and cool-fermented the juice in a combination of stainless steel tanks and acacia barriques, periodically stirring its yeast lees while aging, before before being fined, filtered, and bottled.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs wonderfully with a broad range of vibrant and diverse dishes: Green Thai curry, fragrant lemongrass chicken, fresh sushi rolls, spicy Korean barbecue or sticky bbq ribs, are all great matches. It’s your go-to for a laid-back, outdoor summer feast, no fuss needed.
