There is something about a Rosé; something pale, something interesting and somehow irresistibly inviting, with just a hint of vulnerability. There is never not a good time to drink one and always a good reason to enhance your life with a close encounter. 2023 was a testing year and we made a concerted effort to deliver the colour we normally deliver. Using a combination of saignée, overnight and 48 hour skin contacted batches we managed to achieve a vibrancy of swirling auroras of violets and pinks, running into pools of coral and sea-run salmon.

Wild raspberry coulis aromas strike out from the glass, combining with camomile, elderberry, Japanese plum and toasty biscotti to form the very essence of summer. Crunchy pistachio and rich almond open a portal to the soul while the nutty complexity of Frangelico drizzled over strawberry ice cream completes the seduction.

The pallet is no flash in the pan. Tightly focussed like a shrill pre-dawn birdsong that makes the crowd cry out for more as it flows forth to dance a merry jig on the tongue. Wild bush honey and candy floss abound while chewy melon and crunchy brandy snap draw you in like a moth to the naked flame. The gently rising acidity cuts through the sweetness like a switch blade knife while the taciturn texture creeps up and ushers you toward the door before you sneak back in and do it all again.
