Description
Almond, Dessert, Fig
Amber in colour with the typical perfumes and flavours of a Marsala. Think nutty, brown sugar flavours with notes of sweet dried fruit.
Produced in west Sicily, in the area provided by the Sicilian disciplinary for the production of the Marsala wines. A blend of Cataratto, Inzolia and Grillo grapes.
The grapes are softly pressed followed by slow fermentation, with controlled temperatures. Once the ideal sugar content has been reached they add wine alcohol in order to stop the fermentation and obtain the correct alcohol content. It aged for 1 year in an oak cask.
Food Pairing: excellent as a dessert wine, used in cooking and for preparing eggnog!
