Succulent & beautifully rounded
Wine Orbit
Description
"The wine is attractively fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose showing nectarine, ripe apple, mandarin and floral characters with subtle spicy complexity. The palate is succulent and beautifully rounded, delivering bright fruit flavours backed by fine texture and vibrant acidity, finishing refreshing and very tasty. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Pale straw yellow with light green hues in the glass. The bouquet is perfumed with wonderfully soft florals, mandarin, ripe apple with a subtle spicy complexity. Off dry in style. The palate is succulent with lychee, pear and nectarine flavours, perfectly balanced acidity and a creamy mouthfeel.
A warm and dry summer provided stunning flavours and structure. The grapes are picked from vineyards in the Hawke’s Bay high country of New Zealand. The soils are ancient river beds with a mix of free draining stony soils and clay loams.
Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with two canes pruned, providing an average of 11 tonnes per hectare.
Food Pairing: This wine is delicious on its own, or with fresh fish or Asian cuisine.
