Discover Craggy Range
Craggy Range was established in 1998 as the vision of the Peabody Family to create a long-term legacy to hand down to future generations. The winery is focused on an aspiration to become one of the leading producers of the world, situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke’s Bay New Zealand.

On Top of the World
Martinborough’s Craggy Range has achieved global acclaim with its 2024 Pinot Noir named Best in Show at the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the most influential wine awards in the world.
From the Critics
"This is an uncompromisingly dark wine that plays to New Zealand’s strengths in terms of purity and vivacity of fruit: raspberry, cherry and plum come streaming from the glass, and the fine meshing of fruit and oak in this wine adds to its lustre and appeal.... Svelte tannins are barely palpable, so there’s no textural barrier to entry" - Decanter

Sustainability
Craggy Range have embarked on the largest biodiversity project in the New Zealand wine industry, planting over 50,000 native trees and plants in and around their Te Muna Road vineyards. While many of the environmental benefits are apparent, the team at Craggy Range believe the project will "dramatically improve our monoculture, increasing natural yeasts and reducing pest pressure from the increase in native birds leading to what we believe will be increased quality in the bottle. This project aims to set the benchmark for biodiversity within New Zealand vineyards."
