Description
Blackberry, Cherry, Floral
"From Beaujolais, France, using traditional gamay beaujolais grapes. Spiced plum, a hint of bubblegum, leathery firm tannins, a hint of tobacco and a dry savoury finish" Phil Parker, Aug 2024
Brilliant light red. Aromas of blackcurrant, violet, mulberry, rose and blackberry, complemented by juniper, Mediterranean herbs and forest floor. Present fruit acidity, exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate.
Made with Gamay, our « cuvée » comes mainly comes from the Rhône and Saône-et-Loire region (Lantigné, Lancié and Régnié) : the very best location for Beaujolais-Villages.
The terroir is composed of granite as well as clay and calcareous. Among the 55.000 acres (22.000 hectares) of vineyards planted in the Beaujolais region , about 15.000 acres (6.000 hectares) are under the name Beaujolais Villages « Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée » which is the intermediary appellation between the Beaujolais and the 10 Crus.
Different wines are sourced, vinified and aged in stainless steel vats in order to keep their fruitiness and freshness. Then they are put together before bottling.
Thirteen awards for Winery of the Year in the past 25 years and Spirits 25th Anniversary Hall of Fame.
