Description
Oak, Plum, Spice
"It's gorgeously expressed on the nose with aromas of dark plum, wild strawberry, olive, game, and warm spices. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity, a fleshy texture, and silky tannins, making it splendidly balanced and lingering with tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2026
"From the dynamic winemaking team at Wooing Tree this Pinot Noir shows a purple and ruby hue with a youthful rim leads to a bouquet and palate of dark cherry and spiced Doris plums, blackcurrant and layers of wood spice and a gentle smoky quality. A dry wine with some firm through fine tannins and medium+ acid line frame the core fruit flavours of dark berries, baking spices and and an earthy clay and stone quality. Fresh and lively with a lovely complexity and length. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2031+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Apr 2026
"A youthful Pinot Noir packed with red fruit and soft spice, alongside juicy acidity dancing on the palate with supple tannins" Candice Chow, Wine Chat
Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in an attractive wine, with aromas of red cherry and spiced plum, a rich and silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish. This wine is excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will also develop and cellar for several years.
Beetle Juice is named after the Cromwell Chafer Beetle (Prodontria lewisi). The Cromwell Chafer is a critically endangered beetle found at just one site in the world. This 81-hectare area near Wooing Tree Vineyard has been set aside as the Cromwell Chafer Beetle Nature Reserve to protect and monitor the habitat of this beetle.
