Offering delightful drinking
Description
Boysenberry, Cherry, Spice
"This wine is immediately appealing on the nose, with ripe cherry, wild strawberry, dried herbs, and floral aromas, followed by a juicy palate with fine texture and a smooth mouthfeel. It is attractively fruited and friendly, making it delightfully drinkable. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2026
"A sound, balanced and ready to drink wine with flavours of red apple and cherry, some fruit spice and acidity accentuating flavours and style. A dry wine with persistent flavours and textures, a lighter weighted expression with lots of mouthfeel from the tannins making the wine suitable for medium-rare cooked meats, pasta and cheese dishes. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2028+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Aromas of gorgeous raspberries and rose petal combine with aromatic spices. The palate is warm and smooth with an explosion of boysenberries and dark cherry. These fruit flavours are combined with balanced acidity, fine structured tannin and a smooth textured finish. Drink now or patient cellaring will reward over the next five years.
The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. Once harvested this wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation before being blended, fined, lightly filtered and gently prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Well matched with filet mignon.
