Description

Off-dry, Pastry, Pear

"Charming and immediately appealing with ripe peach, Asian pear, rock melon, and floral aromas on the nose. The palate offers ripe fruit flavours with silky texture and well-balanced acidity, offering excellent drinking. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2025

"Ripe, fruity and varietal bouquet with scents of fresh brown pear and apple, then a fine line of white spice and quince. Crisp and fruity on the palate with acidity and the white spice idea framing core fruit flavours of apple and pear. Balanced and well made with best drinking from 2025 through 2027" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier

"Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is soft and gentle, with aromas of apple, pear and blossom. Medium-light bodied, aromas of apple interweaved with Nashi pear, lemon and blossom nuance. The wine is fresh with refreshing, crunchy acidity and flows smoothly along a dusty textured mouthfeel, unfolding a touch of ginger and blossom details. Youthful, crisp and thirst-quenching" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Apr 2025

An elegant nose of ripe pear, with hints of spice. On the palate you’ll find flavours of juicy pear and subtle baked pastry.

The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness from a selection of vineyards, predominantly Wairau and Awatere Valley regions of Marlborough. The grapes were carefully monitored during maturity to ensure they were harvested at the peak of flavour development and ripeness. Once at the winery, the fruit was pressed and cold settled. The juice was then fermented in stainless steel at cold temperatures to preserve purity of flavour.

Food Pairing: This Pinot Gris is terrific as an aperitif.
