Description

Apple, Dry, Lime

"Pristine and fabulously aromatic, the bouquet presents Granny Smith apple, nectarine, capsicum, and lime peel aromas, leading to a vibrant palate filled with juicy fruit intensity. Upfront and tasty, offering fabulous drinking. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"This Sauvignon Blanc is packed with ripe tropical fruit and herbaceous notes, revealing a saline, mineral-textured palate and a thirst-quenching finish" Candice Chow,  Wine Chat

Succulent, expressive fruit is lifted by a fine, flinty minerality, giving the wine both power and poise. Aromas of white florals and fresh nettle leap from the glass, while the palate shows vibrant citrus, delicate herbal tones, and a subtle saline edge. True to its origins, the finish is lively, crisp, and persistent. A Sauvignon Blanc that marries bright New World fruit with the elegance and mineral precision of the Old World.

Ward Valley is situated at the southern frontier of Marlborough, making it a special place within a special place. This wine is named after the famously stony beach at Ward, home to Crayfish Boats, reems of Paua and where the seafloor famously rose out of the water during the Kaikoura Earthquake. Ward Valley is windy, dry, stony and harsh, with hot days and cold nights that create extraordinary wines. Ward has an extreme climate influenced by the mountains and sea.

Sourced from the southern part of Marlborough, an extreme climate influenced by the mountains and sea. The 2025 season in the ran smoothly from fruit set to harvest. Flowering was clean with good fruit set, giving balanced to generous crops across the subregion. A cooler January slowed sugar accumulation and stretched ripening, while late-summer/early autumn weather was settled—so picks could be timed for flavour, not urgency.
