Charming & smooth with bright fruit flavours
Wine Orbit
Description
- Off-dry style
- Nashi pear
- Warm pastry
- Full-bodied
"It's gorgeously fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose with apricot, Nashi pear, apple and subtle spice aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate that's ripe and fleshy. Charming and smooth with bright fruit flavours, making it highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2022
A delicious full-bodied Pinot Gris with appealing aromas of fragrant Nashi pear and flaky warm pastry. The palate is textural and full bodied with rich flavours of juicy nectarine and apple and a light touch of spice. A long lingering finish showing classical elegance and finely balanced acidity. Drinking well now, this wine will increase in complexity over at least the next three years.
This wine was produced with fruit from select Marlborough vineyards in the Southerna and Omaka Valleys, and harvested at optimum flavour ripeness.
Post fermentation the wine was kept on light lees and stirred to enhance texture and complexity. The parcels of wine were selected by the winemakers and blended then stabilised and carefully prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Beautifully matched with pork tenderloin with honey garlic sauce.
