Pale straw coloured in colour, the W5 Grüner Veltliner is fine grained with appealing chalky phenolics and a long long and lingering finish. It has delicate aromas of fennel flower, ripe pear and a hint of white pepper. Aromas follow through to the palate with flavours of ripe apple, pear with hints of citrus.
Harvested from the Omaka Valley, the grapes were gently harvested and pressed. Free run juice from a press cut was fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and varietal characters. After fermentation all components were blended and the wine was carefully finished and prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: An exceptionally food friendly wine, this Grüner Veltliner will complement a wide range of dishes including spicy Vietnamese.
