This delicious Hawkes Bay Cabernet Merlot displays flavours of ripe black plums and wild blackberry with a hint of spice. The palate is weighty with balanced acidity and a silky fine structure. Highlights of black Doris plum and dark chocolate with a toasty oak note lift the palate to showcase silky tannins with great length.

W5 Cabernet Merlot underwent malolactic fermentation while aging in a mix of new and seasoned older French oak.  It was then gently extracted, blended and prepared for bottling.

Drinking beautifully now this wine can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years or beyond.

Food Pairing: Matched perfectly with Beef Wellington and crispy roast potatoes.
