"A noticeably floral bouquet with scents of white flowers then citrus fruits, white peach and soft gooseberry, finishing with a yellow appple and softer green herbs quality. Delicious on the palate with a satin texture then core flavours of citrus and white fleshed fruits, some tropical fruits layers and a crisp dry finish. The herbaceous flavours are of sage and fresh basil, a stony mineral and light saline quality adds breadth and length. Our EarthGarden Organic Sauvignon Blanc has lifted aromas of citrus fruits, lime and grapefruit that leap from the glass. The flavours on the palate showcase fresh herbs, lemongrass and passionfruit. The intense fresh fruit concentration is balanced with zesty acidity and is perfectly thirst-quenching.
Our key focus is to be environmentally responsible and to operate using sustainable practices in order to protect the land for future generations. Villa Maria has farmed Sauvignon Blanc organically since 2010, gaining BioGro certification in 2012. This vineyards are vibrant gardens alive with wildflowers and full of life.
The Marlborough growing season started off well with very little frost pressure during spring. Flowering went without a glitch, due healthy soil moisture levels the canopies looked lush and vibrant. The start of 2022 summer was slightly colder; February was below the long-term average in temperature however the weather settled with a slightly damp autumn.
Food Pairing: This wine is suitable for plant based diets, so try with fresh Summer salads featuring vibrant lemon zest, roasted hazelnuts or green herb accents.
