This is a highly fragrant expression of Pinot Gris with aromas of ripe pear, exotic fruits and baking spices. The palate has rich fruit flavours, complex silky textures and juicy acidity to give length and persistence.
This wine was sourced from a selection of our premium vineyards, predominantly in the Awatere Valley.
The 2025 Vintage was characterized by bumper crops and settled weather allowing slow even ripening. This resulted in elegant wines with great purity and freshness.
The fruit was harvested during the cool of night to preserve freshness. A small portion from one parcel was held on skins for an extended period to enhance aroma and texture. The clear juice was then inoculated with select aromatic and textural yeast strains. Fermentation was cool and carefully controlled to encourage vibrant aromatic expression. The wine was matured on its yeast lees for a closely monitored period, developing a complex, creamy texture before blending, finishing, and bottling.
Food Pairing: Enjoy chilled with an antipasto platter.
