  • French oak
  • Grilled peach
  • Cashew
  • Silky mouthfeel

"Seamless Chardonnay with appealing white peach, nectarine, toast, hazelnut and vanilla flavours. Clearly the product of a top vintage and sensitive winemaking. Harmonious wine that is bone-dry and with a lingering finish. Great value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2021

Classically Hawke's Bay in style, this Chardonnay reveals a fragrant nose of grilled peach and nectarine stone fruit, with complexing cashew characters from subtle French oak. A silken textured mouthfeel unfolds with layers of fruit, delicate oak spice and subtle mealy flavours toped with wonderful acidity.

The 2020 Hawke's Bay vintage was exceptionally warm, dry and settled, allowing the vast majority of fruit to be harvested across the region with ripe flavours and in pristine condition.

Fruit from severl prestigious Chardonnay vineyards throughout Hawke's Bay feature in this wine. Once harvested and pressed the resulting juice was fermented in a mixture of oak barriques (17% new) with a combination of inoculated and wild yeast. 9 months maturation on full yeast lees followed in barrel prior to a further 4 months in tank prior to bottling.

Food Pairing: A classic match with most white meats, rich seafood dishes, cheese and salads. Also highly enjoyable on its own.
