Wine Orbit
Description
- Dry style
- White peach
- Cashew nuts
- Rich & creamy
"A gorgeous wine. It’s elegantly fragrant on the nose showing white peach, lemon peel, acacia and subtle yeasty complexity. The palate is finely textured and focused with elegant fruit intensity, leading to a lingering silky finish. A fabulous alternative to Champagne" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2017
"A quality sparkling wine from famous winemakers in the Loire Valley. Need we say anymore? This is not one to be missed - for anything. White peach and elderflower nose, enjoyably fresh, concentrated, fine mousse with hints of spice on the finish" Decanter Magazine
"If you’re looking for a rich, creamy, cashewy, peachy bubbles with a hint of sweetness and a complete lack of wallet-impact then you’ve come to the right cul de sac. It’s a grin-inducing, biscuity little sip that will wow the crowds. Refreshing, crisp, dangerously easy to drink with good length of flavour, what’s not to like?" Yvonne Lorkin, 2019
It has a vibrant, persistent mousse, delicate aromas of citrus, white flowers and biscuity freshness. On the palate it is bone dry but soft, lively and easy to drink.
The elegant label evokes the French tradition to produce quality sparkling wines. Indeed, Veuve Laperrière is produced by Maison Ackerman, founded in 1811, the oldest sparkling wine company in the famous Loire Valley with 200 years of winemaking experience. This wine combines tradition with modernity and is styled using traditional white grape varieties, hence is labelled ‘Blanc de Blancs’.
Food Pairing: An ideal function favourite as an aperitif, with canapes or more substantial seafood, salads and white meat and soft cheese dishes.
