Description
Oak, Raspberry, Spice
"Expressing elegance and youthful fruit flavours, the wine offers ripe cherry, raspberry and floral notes with a lovely spicy overtone. It’s smooth and gentle, displaying silky mouthfeel and soft tannins, finishing juicy and very appealing" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2020
A round and soft Pinot Noir with flavours of fresh, ripe raspberries, boysenberry and a hint of spice. The palate is concentrated and focused with juicy fruit intensity and finishes with a nice oak lift. Silky tannins complement a long toasty finish and excellent mouthfeel.
Fruit was selected from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. A proportion of it went to oak where it underwent malolactic fermentation before being blended ready for bottling.
An appealing and easy-drinking Pinot suitable for any occasion. Perfect for drinking now and will continue to develop well for 4-5 years from vintage date.
Food Pairing: A great food match with rack of lamb or barbeque chicken pizza.
