Plums, black cherry & saturated berries create a delightful combo...
Description
This Malbec displays intense red colored wine, in the glass, with some violet hues. On the nose, there are fruity aromas with notes of plums and black cherries. The palate is soft and round, with a touch of truffles and vanilla. The experience ends with a beautiful finishing touch that is spicy and full, with chewy tannins and ample flavour.
Malbec is Argentina’s flagship variety, and the country has the largest Malbec acreage in the world. Trapiche are one of the most highly respected Argentinian producers. The vineyards planted in front of their iconic winery are managed entirely using this process, in line with their fundamental principle of “Constant Innovation and Diversity.” Not only does this help them grow extraordinary grapes, it also allows them to identify new techniques to create better wines year after year.
Bio-dynamics is a meticulous approach that forbids the use of chemicals, herbicides, and fungicides; it aims for a balanced ecosystem, biodiversity and the recovery of the bacterial activity in soil. The only fertilizers allowed in this vineyard, are vegetable and animal wastes from bio-dynamic farms. This approach for vineyards assumes that the moon cycles and the planetary positions influence vine growth, similar to their influence on the tides. All of the work in their vineyards are planned taking into account the different moon phases and the stellar dynamics.
Food Pairing: Ideal to serve with cheeses, red meats, mushrooms, stew, and the typical Argentine “asado”.
