Description
Dry, Passionfruit, Vanilla
"It's splendidly fragrant on the nose, showing green apple, feijoa, apricot, and lemon zest aromas. The palate delivers excellent vibrancy and juicy fruit intensity, well supported by crisp acidity, finishing lingering and tasty. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jan 2025
"A fragrant and gently pungent bouquet of tropical fruits and fresh citrus, there's also a yellow apple and peach quality. Bright and youthful with a light weight frame, the lower alcohol is a feature allowing the fresh fruit flavours, tautness and overall feel of the wine to shine. A backbone of acidity carries the flavours nicely into a satisfying finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through end of Summer 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
This pale green Sauvignon Blanc features aromas of soft tropical fruit notes of passionfruit and melon. There is an underlying suggestion of crushed vanilla biscuit and crisp apple. The palate finish is lovely rich and balanced from a warm and dry year in Marlborough. Softly textured with a long finish. Toi Toi Sauvignon Blanc Light keeps all the greatness of our lifestyle Sauvignon Blanc but features 25% less calories and lower in alcohol.
Our winemaking practices follow the same quality goals for all our Sauvignon Blancs. All our vineyard parcels are on free fraining cool climate sites. This cool Marlborough climate naturally makes our Sauvignon Blancs lower in alcohol and slow ripening. Moderate day temperatures with cold nights mean that we can pick based on flavour and with a spread of alcohol percentages and different acidties.
The unique Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc flavours come from our multiple vineyard parcels. All these parcels are managed slightly differently to give us winemakers a wide array of components to play with. Once harvested we press the grapes, settle the juice and then ferment these parcels with different yeasts. To make a low alcohol wine we select the parcels of wine that showcase a combination of great Sauvignon Blanc typicity and lower alcohol levels. Richness in flavour is key before we make small adjustments to remove some alcohol using Reverse Osmosis.
Food Pairing: Ideal food match is a Greek salad drizzled with a high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
