A fruit-driven wine, uniquely derived from the beautiful Gisborne wine region. A creamy and textural wine, it shows both harmony and concentration. it will reward further cellaring over the next 3 years.
The fruit for this wine is from vineyards located across Gisborne. The clay loam soils provide optimal conditions for ripening Chardonnay. These vineyards are ideally suited to producing fruit forward, lush and richly styled Chardonnay.
The grapes from the individual blocks were picked at optimum ripeness. The juice was lightly pressed and run to tank for fermentation. Matured for 4 months in tank with oak before blending. The wine was regularly lees-stirred in tank to provide texture and mouthfeel.
Food Pairing: Enjoyable on its own or pair with roast chicken or pan-fried snapper.
