Includes:

1 x Caves Saint Pierre Vacqueyras 2016 (France)

Awarded Trophy: International Wine Challenge 2017

Awarded Gold Medal: International Wine Challenge 2017

"A youthful, juicy Vacqueyras - young, vibrant and packed with bilberries and cracked black pepper. A mouthful of vinous joy, accessible now but built to last" International Wine Challenge 2017

Located in Châteauneuf du Pape since 1898, Caves Saint-Pierre is a winery whose reputation has been built on its knowledge of the vineyards along with expertise in the blending and ageing of wines for over one hundred years. This appellation is just next door to Châteauneuf du Pape, with similar stony vineyards, produces sumptuous, rich, velvety reds made with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, a classic GSM blend, but without the big price tag you pay over the road in Châteauneuf du Pape.

Vacqueyras was upgraded from Côtes du Rhône Villages status to its own fully-fledged appellation in 1990 and has never looked back!  Now many of the wines are of Châteauneuf du Pape quality without the price tag. The Caves Saint-Pierre is a classic example of a wine that completely overdelivers on the price quality front from a winery with over 100 years of experience.

1 x Il Rabdomante Montepulciano D’Abruzzo 2015 (Italy)

Awarded Trophy: ‘Best Italian Wine of the Year’: Luca Maroni ‘Yearbook of Italy’s Best Wines’ 2018

Awarded 98/100 Points: Luca Maroni ‘Yearbook of Italy’s Best Wines’ 2018

So the "Best Italian wine of the year" is a Montepulciano from Abruzzo with the staggering score of 98/100. There's no hiding the impact that this variety is having on the Italian and international press and consumers alike and with this offering we are sure you will quickly understand why!

Il Rabdomante is about body, structure and ageability, using the best, ripest parcels of fruit from this incredible vineyard and crafting a wine of power without sacrificing balance or structure. A tour-de-force. Ruby red, intense and persistent fragrance; the bouquet is intense, fruity, persistent, with notes of dried flowers, spice, liquorice, macerated cherries. The palate is stylish, velvety, almost creamy, with a tannic structure that blends nicely with the alcoholic component. Great structure, complex, elegant, well balanced with a long aftertaste. Opulent fruit.

Feudi Bizantini is a young project founded by a group of wine lovers whom have joined their efforts to produce wines that show the best of the Abruzzo region. Here, all their wines show individual personality and are really approachable from the moment you open them. It is a wine that has made the history of modern Abruzzo wine-making. Today Montepulciano D’Abruzzo has emerged to the international limelight as one of the best quality red grapes in world.

Food Pairing: Ideal for roasts, game, strongly flavoured dishes and mature cheese.

Seal: Cork - Alc: 14.5%
