Description

Black Estate wines farm organically & biodynamically to work with nature, not against it. This enables them to create healthy land and vines, producing fruit with quality and flavour that expresses it’s unique environment.

These wines are a fantastic expression of Black Estate's winemaking philosophy, and a delicious accompaniment to a variety of dining occasions with their complex and pure characteristics.

2 x Black Estate Treble Waipara Rosé 2023

Pale pink hue with slight haze, unfiltered.  Vibrant and bright aroma of strawberry, jasmine, cardamom and petrichor.  The pallet is uplifting, saline and long with flavours of wild raspberry, watermelon, and pomegranate.  Drink now to 2026.

"Savoury and complex, varietal and new. A lively bouquet with scents of boysenberries and plums, bracken and salty mineral flinty qualities. Spices from wood and earth frame the fruit with a light wild flower lift. Taut and dry with a youthful intensity, firm polished tannins and acidity frame the core of fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet, lengthy and well made with best drinking from 2026 through 2034+" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jun 2024

Deep ruby hue. Aromas of raspberry, licorice, tilled earth, and thyme. The palate has density and structure typical of the Home vineyard with a silky texture and delicate acidity. Emerging flavours of plum, raspberry, red cherry and clove. An unfiltered wine with small amounts of sediment. Please allow the bottle to stand and settle before pouring. Decanting will allow maximum expression of aroma and purity of fruit to emerge. Drink now to 2033.

2 x Black Estate Damsteep Waipara Pinot Noir 2021

Deep Ruby hue. Fragrant aromas of black raspberry, mulberry, dark plum, sandalwood, vanilla and sea spray. Supple and elastic mid pallet tannins that are contained with bright, crisp, and pure minerality. Typical white rock tension creates a long and vibrant finish. This is an un-fined and unfiltered wine with small amounts of sediment. Please allow the bottle to stand and settle before pouring. Decanting will allow maximum expression of aroma and purity of fruit to emerge. Drink now to 2030.
