Description
Dry, Floral, Peach
Straw in colour, with a captivating nose of orange blossom, white florals, pear and a hint of ginger. The palate is richly concentrated yet ethereal, delivering layers of ripe quince, white peach, and a flourish of white flowers, underscored by ginger spice and mineral depth. With an Alsace-like weight and a pillowy, textured mouthfeel, it finishes long, carrying lingering nuttiness and spice. A complex and sophisticated expression of Pinot Gris.
From Lola's Block, a tiny block of Pinot Gris grown amongst some of the very best Pinot Noir vines in New Zealand - on Terra Sancta Estate on Felton Road, Bannockburn. This is a Pinot Gris crafted with exacting standards and a “hands off” approach, using natural fermentation in neutral oak puncheons, in order to best express the qualities of the place from which it is from. Very food friendly due to its concentration, texture and complexity.
