Mount Edward is a certified organic estate In Central Otago New Zealand. Pioneers of progressive Central Otago wine, we craft premium wines from single vineyard sites across our unique sub regions. TED wines come from these unique sites, managed organically, made traditionally and given a contemporary feel reflecting all we stand for at Mount Edward. Generally lighter soils and younger vines resulting in a more fruit forward wine. Winemaking is by Anna Riederer and Duncan Forsyth producing a wine of individual style, distinctly Central Otago with bright and vibrant fruit, refreshing acidity and, above all delicious.
Pisa Vineyards of Morrison and Pisa Terrace, alluvial gravels and loess, cropped at 6 T/HA. Bannockburn Vineyards of Muirkurk and Susans, fertile layers of loess in varying deeps, fans of clay and silt with some calcareous deposits.
Hand harvested, wild ferment, 100% destemmed, no additions, 10 months in barrel, all French oak, 15 % new, no fining, small amount SO2 pre bottling.
