"Fresh and bright with watermelon, crunchy apple, lemon peel and delicate floral aromas, it’s juicy and lively in the mouth delivering pristine fruit flavours with refreshing acidity. Light, vibrant and mouth-watering, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2023
"Bright, even, pale salmon. The nose is softly full, with strawberry, cherry, stonefruit aromas, floral fragrance and subtle spice. Medium-bodied, strawberry, cherry and peach aromas entwined with pear blossom and a faint hint of delicate spice. The fruit is juicy and elegantly expressed; smooth-flowing acidity carries delicate spice to a crisp, dry finish. This refreshing Rosé is packed with juicy fruit and crunchy acidity, well-balanced and moreish" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Oct 2023
"Pale rosé with a pretty pink hue and an appealing balance of subtle sweetness and gentle acidity. Charming, smooth-textured, thirst-quenching wine with apricot, raspberry and cherry flavours" Bob Campell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2023
Popping with a gorgeous pink hue and aromas of luscious watermelon and raspberry, our Marlborough Pinot Rose invites you to pause for just a little while. Brimming with flavours of fresh red berries and delicious stone fruits, each glass is a year-round summer escape.
Vintage 2023 in Marlborough will go down as one of the best in a decade. After some early rain, the weather settled, and we enjoyed optimal Autumn weather. Marlborough’s trademark sunshine and cool evenings, allowed for an extended ripening period, while retaining beautiful acidity in the wines. The quality of the fruit is exceptional, with intense flavours and vibrant acidity. We’re proud of our 2023 wines and look forward to sharing them with you.
Overlooking the ocean, we grow our grapes near the coast in Blind River and in the lower Wairau Valley. Our grapes enjoy the region’s long sunshine hours, while the ocean breeze keeps things cooler and drier. This wine is made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The Pinot Noir was harvested and gently pressed off skins, to limit colour and tannin extraction. Both the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris were cool fermented using selected yeast strains in stainless steel tanks to retain the vibrant fruit aromas and flavours. After fermentation the wine sat on light lees for three months, prior to bottling.
