Description

Deep ruby colour in the glass. Attractive and fragrant cherry, plum and oak spice aromas. Rich and mouth filling flavours of plum and cherry framed with well integrated toasty oak. The texture is soft with gentle tannins on the finish. Drinking well now, this wine will reward cellaring for up to 5 years from the vintage date.

The 2018 vintage was a classic high quality vintage in Hawkes Bay. Hot and dry conditions from December through to February ensured ripe, flavoursome fruit in excellent condition.

Stables Reserve is a fruit driven varietal range produced from small parcels of premium grapes from selected vineyards in Hawke's Bay. These food-friendly wines have good palate weight and are styled to bring out the true varietal character of the region.
