"Deep, ruby-red, faintly lighter on edge. The bouquet is elegantly presented, toasty oak penetrating vanilla, nutmeg and cedar underlying cassis, blackberries, plums and violet. Full-bodied, succulent aromas of cassis, blackberries and plums melded with a hint of mint and violet; cedar and spice fill with palate with breadth. The fruit is vibrant and succulent with excellent acid balance and depth. Fine-grained oak detail presents a stylish, smooth mouthfeel that lends a long finish. This poise structured red blend with elegance and power shows succulent fruit, stylish oak and layers. Match with venison and ribeye steak over the next 8+ years. Handpicked, a blend of Merlot (50%), Malbec (23%), Syrah (15%), Cabernet Franc (8%) and Petit Verdot (4%), fermented to 14% alc, aged in French oak barrels, 40% new oak.
