This classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc represents exceptional value for money and has built up a loyal following through delivering consistent quality year after year. The palate delivers excellent vibrancy and punchy fruit flavours, well supported by juicy acidity, making it highly enjoyable – our best yet!
Fruit was sourced from our 8ha block in Marlborough’s stunning Waihopai Valley - we call it Snapper Rock’s ‘ika vineyard’, ika meaning ‘fish’ in Māori.
The 2024 vintage in Marlborough was a much lower yield than the 2023 vintage. Smaller bunches as a result of frost in November kept cropping levels down naturally. The grapes were picked earlier than previous years and were ripe at 21.2 brix. The summer of 2024 was extremely hot and dry, which allowed the berries to ripen quickly.
Harvest started at 7pm on the 18th March 2024. Picking at cool temperatures late at night ensures we retain optimal freshness and acidity in the fruit.
The grapes were then pressed at The Wine Studio and fermented in stainless steel tanks under the watchful eye of winemaker Corey Hall.
Food Pairing: The style works equally well as an aperitif as matched with seafood or chicken dishes and looks great on the table at a dinner party.
