A deep ruby colour. Intense and complex aroma, with notes of black fruits like plum and blackcurrant, hints of shrub and spices, such as ginger and nutmeg, balsamic truffle and undergrowth notes, and a slight cocoa and chocolate note, the result of a good maturation. On the palate it has good volume, lively acidity, firm tannins, very present and of good quality, black fruits and some cocoa, with a very balanced finish.

The high quality wines from the 2016 harvest were carefully selected and blended to create the Sandeman Porto Late Bottled Vintage 2016. Aged for around four years, this wine was bottled without filtration, maintaining the style of a single-harvest wine.
