Ruby red with purple highlights. Elegant aromas of violet and red fruit lead to a lightly spiced finish. Fresh and vibrant on the palate with good body, persistence and an easy-drinking character.

Fermented and macerated in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for around 10 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged in stainless steel and concrete for several months before bottling.

Produced since 1877, this historic Chianti holds a special place in Italian wine history – when Chianti became DOCG in 1984, Ruffino’s bottle carried the very first DOCG quality tag. The grapes are grown in Chianti on Tuscany’s distinctive galestro soils.

A versatile food wine, perfect with traditional Tuscan dishes, pasta with rich meat sauces and spicy foods. It can also be served slightly chilled to highlight its fresh fruit and floral notes.
