Description
Butterscotch, Oak, Peach
"Beautifully styled and expressed, the elegantly fragrant bouquet shows white flesh peach, fig, lemon pith, and nougat characters. This leads to a succulent palate delivering fine texture and splendidly pitched acidity. Wonderfully harmonious with finesse and poise, the finish is persistent and engaging. At its best: now to 2031" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Apr 2025
"A zingy and tangy nose with a streak of salinity. Complex but closed. The palate is likewise restrained and tightly wound with tart, salty mid-weight flavours of apple and citrus peel. Interestingly compact and racy chardonnay with a savoury, chewy finish of phenolics. Not a blockbuster, but it will age gracefully and remain fresh throughout its life" Stephen Wong, Master of Wine, The Real Review, Oct 2024
The nose is pure and subtle with elements of wet stone, lemon zest and ripe peach. The palate is full, textural with fine tension, showing lemon meringue, butterscotch and delicate minerality and a zesty finish. Bright, delicate and elegant, easily enjoyed at release and will continue to develop and mature well over the next five to seven years.
Food Pairing: Chicken, risottos, and seafood can all make excellent matches.
