Aromas of ripe stonefruit and warm spices. A generous and full mid palate showing complex layers of white nectarine, subtle oak and creamy nougat.
The fruit was sourced from a selection of vineyards across the Marlborough region. Heather and the team regularly monitor the grape quality over the growing season, ensuring each parcel is harvested at peak ripeness and flavour intensity for optimal winemaking. The 2021 vintage was blessed with an abundance of sunshine and warmth throughout the growing season with minimal rainfall. This led to lower crop levels with increased intensity of fruit characteristics within the grapes.
The grapes were machine harvested and transported promptly to the winery to be pressed. The juice was lightly settled, racked, then cool fermented in stainless steel tanks and 14 % seasoned oak to add texture. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation to add creaminess and body to the wine. Once ready, Healther then selected her preferred blend for bottling.
