Dark plum and berryfruit flavours with a light touch of oak and supple tannins. A blend of 99% Merlot lifted with a little Cabernet Franc for added floral aromatics. Soft, food friendly and very drinkable now, but will cellar easily for 4-6 years if you can resist the temptation.
A red blend of 99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, all grown in Hawke's Bay.
Destemmed to tank. Part hand plunged and part pumped over. Pressed to tank for MLF then part matured in oak barrels prior to bottling.
