- Vibrant finish
"Aromatic sauvignon blanc with a mix of passionfruit, guava, green capsicum and subtle mineral flavours. An intense, taut and punchy wine, with vibrant acidity and impressive purity" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review
"The immediacy of complexity, depth and pull that the bouquet suggest a more serious example of SB. Aromas of ripe citrus and salty air, fresh white peach and meyer lemon then whispers of sage and other fresh herb qualities. Minerality is revealed on the palate with flavours of white smoke and wet pebbles. At the core of this wine is the ripe tropical and fresh citrus flavours accentuated by high almost sweet acidity then a salty note returns. Young and needing more development time in bottle, but a lovely example of wine showcasing site and region, excellent wine-making and most importantly and enjoyable glass of wine" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
Vibrant aromas of passionfruit, guava and tropical fruit that follow through to the palate. These intense fruit flavours are complemented by an intriguing saline minerality and vibrant acidity. This wine is immediately expressive but will continue to drink well for the next five years.
The Bull Paddock Vineyard is located in the Dillons Point sub-region of Marlborough’s lower Wairau Valley. The land was originally used for raising bulls, before the Neylons’ realised the potential of the site and planted it in Sauvignon Blanc. The young, free-draining, alluvial soils now produce grapes with elevated aromatics and ripe flavours. They believe this sub-region grows the best Sauvignon Blanc in all of Marlborough.
Their Single Vineyard wines hail from premium vineyard sites and represent the best of the region. Each bottle of Rapaura Springs tells the story of a lifetime. Of water and wine, and of generations of family working with nature. Their label depicts the rocky aquifer at our home vineyard, and the pristine springs that connect it to their land. They make exceptional wines that reflect their remarkable landscapes, pure waterways and passionate people.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with goats cheese or feta either on crackers with honey or in rocket salad with candied walnuts
