Description

Hazelnut, Oak, Plum, Spice

"Sweetly fruited with savoury nuances, the wine shows dark plum, warm spice, game, and roasted hazelnut aromas on the nose. The palate is equally appealing with succulent fruit intensity and plump mouthfeel, leading to a lengthy, flavoursome finish. At its best: now to 2029" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Dark ruby-red colour with violet highlights, deep. Expressive and intense, ripe black fruit, red cherry, strawberry jam, plum, herbs. A rich variety of sensations. Nice concentration and complexity, rich and round. Long fruity finish well balanced.

Puglia, South of Italy. Bordered to the west by the Mediterranean Sea and at the east by the Adriatic Sea. Puglia's climate is typically Mediterranean: a hot, dry summer and a mild, rainy winter.

The Primitivo is harvested when grapes maturity controls indicate the ideal moment (good concentration in color, tanins and surgar). The grapes are gently destemmed, crushed, fermented at a controlled temperature (between 27-30°C). During the alcoholic fermentation, the objective is to maximise the aromas, the colors and the concentration of the future wine and to obtain a good structure with no agressive tannins. Malolactic fermentation follows these stages. The wine is then racked and aged in vats. Maturation in tanks for 6 months minimum.

Food Pairing: Ideal with meats (grilled, roasted), mediteranean dishes, pizza, polenta... and with some strong cheeses.
